does not meet the requirement for obtaining Polish citizenship under the Law on Polish Citizenship. The President is not constrained in his\/her decision in any way; in other words, the decision is not contingent on the applicant\u2019s fulfilment of any conditions in order to be granted Polish citizenship. The President is authorized to grant Polish citizenship to any foreigner, regardless, for example, of the duration of their residence in Poland.<\/p><p>Recognition: a foreigner may be recognized as a Polish citizen if they have met certain conditions.
